Babynat milk:

>> Where does your Babynat milk come from?
The skimmed milk in the Babynat recipe comes from cows reared on French pastures. The cows are fed with grass or organic forage and, in compliance with organic regulations, preventive treatment by antibiotics is forbidden.
>> When can I start follow-on milk?
You can change to follow-on Babynat milk from 6 months.
>> Can Babynat milk be given alongside breast feeding?
Yes, you can certainly feed your baby and give a bottle of Babynat milk in addition if needed. Babynat milk is also suitable for taking over from breast feeding.
>> I am currently giving a follow-on milk from another brand and I want to change to Babynat follow-on milk. What should I do?
Changing from one brand of milk to another must be done progressively. You can start by replacing the day bottles by a bottle of Babynat milk. You do the same for 1 or 2 days, then you replace a 2nd bottle by Babynat milk and so on until complete replacement.
>> How long will my bottle of Babynat milk keep once it has been prepared?
The bottle of prepared milk must be consumed within one hour of preparation. If your baby does not drink it all, throw the rest away without hesitation.
>> My baby is demanding more milk. Can I increase the quantity of milk per bottle?
It all depends on the weight and size of your child. Ask the advice of a health professional (doctor, paediatrician...).
>> How can I thicken Babynat milk?
If your baby is annoyed by small dribbles after taking the bottle, you can thicken the milk by adding a special product that you will find in the pharmacists.
>> Why does Babynat use maltodextrins in the composition of its infant milks?
Maltodextrins are a source of carbohydrates or "semi-complex sugars" that are easily assimilated by babies. It is a natural material, organically certified and with quality controlled for an infant food application. From a nutritional viewpoint, we use maltodextrins as a supplement to lactose (carbohydrate provided by milk) because infant milk formulas only containing lactose are much less well digested by babies. This maltodextrins - lactose combination allows regurgitation, diarrhoea and colic phenomena to be limited.
>> Is your milk hypoallergenic?
Babynat milks are not hypoallergenic. A hypoallergenic milk is a milk that has undergone a cow's milk protein hydrolysis treatment to reduce their potentially allergenic character. In principal, this protein hydrolysis treatment is not compatible with the organic agriculture requirements specifications. The milks are particularly advised for "at risk" babies meaning those whose family already includes allergic people. They are special milks that are only found in chemists.
