Our advice about sleep for babies from 8 to 12 months
At this age, going to sleep becomes more and more difficult.
The child sleeps 13 hours on average including naps in the day and his long night but they are now very excited in the evening at bedtime.
Their new motor abilities surprise them and they spend their time standing up or sitting in their bed.
In addition, your child now needs more time to get to sleep: he needs about 30 to 40 minutes to get there.
His new social relations take on importance and this can lead to greater agitation.
So it is necessary to demonstrate patience at bedtime.
Baby will go to sleep much more easily in a calm moment with kisses and caresses.
Avoid battles, hide and seek under the duvet or peek-a-boo sessions just before sleeping.
In addition, be available when you come back from work: share games, stories, colouring together.
Your baby will not lack affection and will only feel better at bedtime...
